The titanium post is placed into the jaw bone to create a supportive base for your new permanent teeth. The titanium implant post then connects to the bone to an implant that looks and feels like a tooth.

Many patients that need dental implants have more than one tooth missing. In this case, our dental team will determine which is the best course of treatment, dentures or dental bridges. A dental bridge follows the same implant process but replaces several teeth rather than just one. When several dental bridges are needed, we will discuss whether a denture would be a better solution.
If multiple teeth are missing and the surrounding bone has started to deteriorate, we typically encourage our patients to consider a permanent set of dentures rather than undergoing the tooth replacement procedure.
